Please excuse the interruption. We interrupt this Preparation List to bring you a very valuable update.

With a new influx of freshly printed money about to enter our economy, do you know exactly what that does to money that is put into savings? It de-values it.

Money that is not backed by a real commodity such as gold is simply not real money. Once flooded into circulation it will look good for a while on the economic polls and facade, but eventually it too will become worth only the paper it is printed on.

Once that money becomes less valuable, we will have inflation. Even very likely, we will have hyper-inflation (overnight price increases) which will make all savings even less valuable.

Right now $1,000,000.00 is worth, $1,000,000.00, but if it sits in the bank during hyper-inflation it is worth LESS than what it could have been used to purchase years ago. Just look at the rise in cost of items over the last few years, the money does not go as far as it used to.

So, what is the preparation plan for that?

Things that will be valuable will not be bills in the bank.

So, prepare by investing now in things that have intrinsic (native, innate, natural, true, real.) value.

  • Long Term Food – both growing and storing
  • Land – for intrinsic use
  • Items that can be bartered.
  • Skill (that cannot be taken from you, but used by you to do good for others and self)
  • Gold (have you noticed how that’s being sold now for spare cash?)

There is wisdom in these words of Paul the apostle in: I Tim 6

: 7

“For we have brought nothing into the world; and we can take nothing out of it; 8  so if we have food and clothing, we will be satisfied with these. 9 Furthermore, those whose goal is to be rich fall into temptation; they get trapped in many foolish and hurtful ambitions which plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all the evils;…”

Much of the ‘foolish ambition’ is the mistake of hording up little pieces of worthless paper. One day, in the not too distant future it seems, true value will be found elsewhere. Don’t make the mistake of thinking it is in money.
