THE END IS NEAR!

If there were a beginning of something there has to be and end of it, right? The end of ‘something’ has always been near, but is THE end really as near as some people would like for us to believe?  Maybe, maybe not. After 25 years on this journey of ever growing to live a  more self-sustained and prepared life – I’ve heard various cries of the ‘end’ being near.  Some of which were out of sheer desire to motivate, while others were out of selfish ambition to motivate others to purchase a particular product or adhere to a specific  […]

Doomsday Preppers! What do you think? Tell us this week!

By: Donna Miller, Host of Your Preparation Station on PRN I’ll be having Alan Madison, the Executive Co-Producer return to my radio show in March. He bravely agreed to come back after the series has aired for a few times to hear from the prepper community. Thus WE will need to hear from YOU . So, what do you think? So, BEFORE FEB 14 – Please go our new community Facebook Page – Your Preparation Station (you don’t have to be signed into FB to take the survey) and look for the survey. While you’re there – you may want […]

Security?

Without getting overly spiritual and heading down the path of in Whom our security should lie and Who knows the end of the book while we’re still acting out the chapters here on earth…the topic of “security” has become a volatile one at best here in the tangible world. Most especially it is a volatile topic in America. To top off the state of affairs that plague America the past few years – many of us have suffered a great sense of the lack of Security, even while government tries to reach in and do more – we are less […]

To get prepared, get fear under control.

Author: Donna Miller There is a great difference that rearranging that subject line above would make.  It could read: “To get fear under control, get prepared.” However, that is not exactly how I feel the true prepared lifestyle actually works. The fact is that most of us have never chosen wisely reacting out of  fear. Chaos, emergencies, and emotional instability often force us into feeling that we  have to make decisions immediately and often on only partial information and even worse, on little if no faith. Fear can be a motivator, but it can also be a jailer or a […]

Attack of the Preparedness Acronyms

In the realm of preparedness there is a wide range of philosophies and along with those come a wide range of acronyms.  If you are new to the preparedness movement or you’ve been doing this a while and are now slapped in the face with a conglomerate of capitol letters being jumbled together and want to make sense of things – I want to start with a short acronym list we are finding in much of the material now arising on the topic of preparedness:   WROL – Without Rule Of Law. TEOTWAWKI – The End Of The World As […]

Comet Elenin: Fear, Facts, Questions and Answers

The comet Elenin has been known and tracked since December 2010, yet the topic of it’s approach has been widely focused upon the last few months.  Speculation and rumor abounds with this comet that will so closely travel through our solar system. Many in the preparedness community are shaken, yet others are calm, even regardless of the ready or not factor. But unfortunately, as with many real natural disasters or even TEOTWAWKI (the end of the world as we know it) believers in such things, the rumors of the impact that Elenin may have on our lives (or end of […]

Eathquake in VA had a big reach!

While working I got an email from a friend of ours in Lenoir, NC. They had just had to stand in the doorway while debating to save a family heirloom clock as it teetered on the brink of falling. Books were tipping and items shaking on the shelves. Thankfully these friends knew what they were experiencing (they’d lived out West long enough)…but here on the East Coast, an earthquake of this magnitude? Taken from WSBTV.com – A 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia shook much of Washington, D.C., and was felt as far north as New York City. The quake […]
