  We are supporters of a certain Preparedness Forum that someone posted a question that went something like this: I hear a lot about having money and precious metals on hand for the uncertain future. Wouldn’t an investment not be better spent now in a different way? What exactly does that look like? Honestly, if anyone tries to tell you how you HAVE to do it, be a tad bit skeptical. In my opinion there is no “one-size-fits-all” plan to being more self sustaining. Although the topic of shelter can be wide and varied, in this preparation step, we would like to look more at just a few options.  Protection from the elements is essential. If you have a home, you will need to make sure it is completely updated as best your budget can allow.
